Programs

              

The Peace Education Program teaches conflict resolution, mediation skills, and prejudice reduction to youth ages preschool to 20 years of age. The organization also provides training to adults who work with youth so that these adults can teach these same skills to youth in the schools and community. Specific youth programs in schools and community sites: --Conflict Resolution Workshops --Mediation Training --Cooperative Games --Family Fun Nights --Preschool Workshops --Mentoring for young men in conflict resolution Specific adult programs include: --Professional Development Workshops --A Dialogue on Discipline --Controversial Issues Dialogue --Welcoming Diversity --Community Institute--A three day conflict resolution and diversity training offered annually or on demand --Training of Educators in Mediation--A three day training for adults wanting to establish and/or strengthen their mediation program. --Workshops for Parents in conflict resolution. A new collaboration with KentuckyOne Health and University Hospital enables Peace Ed to support gunshot and stabbing victims as they "Pivot to Peace".
