hoes and Clothes for Kids (SC4K) is the only non-profit organization in Cleveland providing brand new clothing items and shoe gift cards at no charge throughout the year to local children in need. Through a network of 32 Distribution Partners, SC4K positively impacts the lives of area children by giving them the self-esteem and confidence that comes from having brand new shoes and clothes. SC4K operates year round, holding five distributions. In 2014, SC4K distributed 107,191 pieces of clothing with a retail value of $2,312,749 and 14,700 Payless ShoeSource gift cards with a value of $147,700. Beyond bringing important basic needs items to thousands of deserving children, SC4K is proud to serve as a change agent for families living in poverty. By providing new clothing and shoes through our distribution network, we can connect these families with other important programs and services to improve and enrich their lives. These programs and services include food pantries, GED programs, childcare, Healthy Start, etc, and are located in areas with high densities of children living at or below 185% of poverty.
