Programs

              

United Way Education investments focus on supportive communities, effective schools and strong families. The organization invests donor dollars and volunteer resources in 48 education programs in addition to the following community initiatives: Helping Kids Succeed, Readers United and the Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership. United Way invests in income programs that help adults improve their education level and create a more financially secure future for themselves and their families. The organization invests donor dollars and volunteer resources in 47 income programs as well as the following community initiatives: Financial Stability, Individual Development Accounts, Continuum of Care Coordinated Entry, Black Male Achievement, Project Homeless Connect and Thriving Waukesha. United Way partners with agencies to provide help to those without health insurance, seniors in need of home health care, survivors of abuse and individuals struggling with mental illness or addiction. The organization invests donor dollars and volunteer resources in 88 health programs as well as the following community initiatives: Health Birth Outcomes, Healthy Girls, Milwaukee Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families Collaborative, the Healthy Improvement Fund and Teen Pregnancy Prevention.
